Meet the Management Team

Chris Pringle, Executive Chairman

Chris has more than 30 years’ experience as owner-manager of one of the largest and most prestigious private language schools in the U.K. After exploring, in 1999, Dr Terry Miles’ innovative method for language learning, he quickly saw its suitability for language e-learning on the Internet. Kingslanguage.com was born. There followed a 5-year period of building the design team, of rigorous learner testing, and finally of full trials in both individual and corporate arenas.

Dr Terry Miles, Head of Education, Research and Development

The original inventor of the Kingslanguage.com method, Terry leads the company’s product design and course development. He has worked at the leading edge of innovative language learning methodology for over 20 years, gaining a PhD in the productive learning method that is at the heart of Kingslanguage.com. Terry was the first member of the team put together by Chris Pringle, and has led research and development since 1999.

Tim Shirra, Chief Operating Officer

Tim is responsible for service delivery, including tutoring, customer care and IT systems. He also created the Tutor Software component of the Kingslanguage.com product. He worked with Terry Miles for ten years as a specialist language trainer and course designer on language systems, research and distance tutoring. He has also worked for DHL International as IT Training Consultant for the Europe & Africa region. Tim joined the Kingslanguage.com team in 2000.

Pamela Rüstem, Business Development Director

Prior to joining Kingslanguage.com as Business Development Director, Pamela was European Sales & Marketing Director for BozGroup, one of Turkey’s largest Holding Companies, promoting the Health & Leisure Division. Before this role, Pamela was BT Infonet’s Global Account Director, supporting the International expansion of a number of BT’s growth clients.

Pamela entered the Telecommunications Industry in 1995 and has held a variety of roles in Client Management, Customer Operations and Sales. Prior to this, Pamela had her own business in Group Incentive travel, dealing with multinational customers. Pamela speaks several languages as well as being a former ESL Teacher to adult students.

Ainsley Roberts, Team Leader (Tutoring and Course Design)

An experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Ainsley has taught General and Business English and Cambridge exam classes at top language schools in Japan, Thailand and the UK. He joined Kingslanguage.com in 2004, and now heads up the tutoring and course design team, supervising the creation of original learning materials and ensuring that courses are built and delivered to the highest possible standards.
