This one-to-one course will help you improve your English skills for the IELTS exam, an English language qualification recognized by many educational institutions around the world. Using our voice-enabled website, your experienced IELTS teacher interacts with you, answering your questions, correcting you and giving advice on how to improve your IELTS score. Each week you do online worksheets in the format of the IELTS exam: listening and reading tests with tips on how to deal with different question types, a voice-enabled IELTS interview, a themed vocabulary worksheet, and writing exercises including model answers and advice on structuring your essays.

One-to-one teacher

One of our experienced, native-speaking English teachers will teach you one-to-one.

Your teacher will be an experienced IELTS teacher, and will be able to give you advice specifically to help you improve your IELTS score.
You and your teacher will use our voice-enabled website to post messages to each other in voice and text. This gives you regular practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing. If you post a message, your teacher will usually reply to you within 1 working day.
Your teacher will answer whatever questions you have, about the IELTS exam, about your language, about the course, about his or her opinions, and so on.
Your teacher will identify your needs, give you advice, and provide activities particularly to help you improve your interview skills and writing style.
Your teacher will make sure you study regularly, and if you slow down or stop working, she or he will remind you by email to continue working.
If you take a Gold option course, your teacher will arrange live conversation sessions with you, by telephone or Skype, to help you practise your spoken English. The price of the call is included in the course fee.

Tutorials

During your course you will do a number of tutorials. In a tutorial, your teacher will give you full and detailed correction of your spoken and written English, with exercises to help you learn the corrections and become more fluent. See our Demonstration
You can choose the subject of your tutorials with your teacher, so you can practise real-life tasks from your working life or study interests.
Tutorials improve many aspects of your English: speaking, pronunciation, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and expression – including idiomatic expression and levels of politeness.

Live Conversation Practice

If you take a Gold course, you will have live conversation practice sessions with your teacher, lasting 20 minutes each time.
Your teacher will arrange these sessions with you in advance, and call you by telephone or Skype, as you prefer.
The cost of the call is included in the course price.

Interactive Worksheets

Every week, your teacher will give you a number of Worksheets in the format of the IELTS exam to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Worksheets include combinations of practice in speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
You can study Worksheets many times, if you like, and they are available.

Flexibility of study times

Because our courses are online, you can choose when to study – at any time of day or night. It is not necessary to be online at the same time as your teacher.
Our standard courses give you 2 hours per week of study. Our intensive courses give 4 hours. But there are no restrictions: if you wish to study with your materials 2, 3, or many times, you can. In fact, if you wish to stay online all day, you can!

Vocabulary Learning System

As a member of Kingslanguage.com, you will be able to use our special, online vocabulary-learning system.
You can use it to practise vocabulary in a number of interesting ways.
The system will measure your progress and how many words you learn.
Your teacher will give you ‘sets’ (lists) of vocabulary to learn, but you can also add your own lists, and download them.
The vocabulary lists have been selected specifically to increase your lexical range when speaking and writing about topics which often appear in the exam.

End-of-course Certificate & Report

At the end of your course you will receive an official Kingslanguage.com digital certificate, detailing your level as assessed by your teacher at the end of the course. Please note, this is not an official IELTS examination certificate.
You will also receive a report detailing the amount of time you have spent online and a summary of the activities, exercises and progress you have made during the course, with recommendations for the future.

1 Year Free Membership

With all courses you get 1 year’s free membership of the kingslanguage.com website, which gives you your own private pages, with access to your tutorial materials, worksheets, vocabulary lists and conversations with your teacher.
This means that you can continue to access your private pages and materials for a long time after your course finishes.

You can continue using your worksheets, creating and using your vocabulary lists, and taking part in any discussion groups of which you are a member.
